Meanwhile the elite manufactured goods traded upriver shaped the political and religious institutions of longhouse society. However, the apparent permanence of longhouses was an illusion. In historical terms, longhouse communities were both mobile and labile, and the patterns of ethnicity they created more closely resemble the contemporary world than any stereotype of "tribal" societies.

Noncommutative measure theory is the theme of the first part of the book. The relevant quantum structures are algebraically introduced. This is then used in the axiomatic, geometric model discussed in the second part of the book, where old and partly new groups and finite-dimensional R, C, H-spaces or spheres are studied for particle-series, a bag and the four basic interactions of physics. The third part investigates infinite dimensional spaces, particularly Archimedean and non-Archimedean orthomodular spaces, which generalize classical Hilbert spaces. The last part of the book contains short reviews on related topics which are useful to have at hand.

A wonderful guide to using your mind to optimize your health and your life. Overview of holistic practices to enhance health and overcome illness. I read and reread this book to remind myself that my mind is intimately linked to my body and that I have much more control than is generally believed. This book has helped me onto the path for recovery from chronic health problems.

Just a little too simple.

The idea that possitive thoughts and words can improve our health is a great premise, however this book goes too far in the examples of every type of ill stemming from what you say. The book is repetative and rather far fetched in the examples of the authors multiple ills. One chapter would have been enough. A group of us were reading this book together and we voted to drop the book after chapter 4. The vote was 12 to 0!
