Kanvar’s attempt to save the human world lands him face-to-face with an old friend, now turned enemy, and ultimately leads him to the Great Red dragon’s lair. In this fourth book of the Dragonbound series, Kanvar must make the critical choice of who is friend and who is foe, who he will save and who he will kill.
Dragonbound V: Silver Dragon--
Tormented by memories of his time with the Great Red dragon, Rajan struggles to find the humanity within himself and come to terms with the silver dragon he’s now bound to. With a vast human army descending on Kundiland bent on the annihilation of all remaining Nagas, the Nagas splinter into factions—those who wish to run and hide and those who decide to stand and fight. Tana finds herself trapped in the middle and at the mercy of those who will do anything, no matter how vile, to defend their home. With the time of her bonding imminent, she finds herself drawn to the deepest heart of the jungle and repulsed by the murderous thoughts of the dragons the Great Gold Dragon King presents to her. The golden palace has become her prison, one she will take the ultimate risk to escape.

Dragons and nagas
By dah4
My wife got this series for our kids but being on vacation I started reading it and I love it, too. The author writes very well and movingly. Basically there are humans (nagas) that have to be bound to dragons at a certain age. When this happens, great power is given to dragon and human. This power can and in the distant past had been abused, and now humans hate and fear dragons and nagas alike, and they hunt them down and kill them. From this conflict grows further hatred and fear. I am only halfway through, but the tale is gripping and human. There are funny parts, and tender parts, and scary parts. Not too scary for my children so far (they are 12 and 10) but they are way ahead of me. Hmm, that is a little worrisome. Will post more when I get there.
Addendum. Okay, finished it. It's great. My kids agree, it's not too scary. There is a fair amount of death and destruction though, so it's not for younger kids who've never come across. The death and destruction are not gratuitous. Altogether a great a series. My kids are already reading the sequels.
Addendum #2. Now I've read the sequels, too (Black Dragon, Gold Dragon and Great Blue Liberator). All very good and satisfying, even up to the ending. Many fantasy series peter out at the end; this one does not. My whole family really enjoyed this series. We'll be checking out her other books.

Excellent! Well written and exciting.
By Momof2wi
The Dragonbound series is excellent and really deserves to be discovered. It is well written and exciting and the characters are multi-dimensional and likable. The decriptions of the interactions between dragons and nagas is great - make me wish I were a naga. My entire family is reading this series of books. It is complex enough for adults to enjoy, but "clean" enough for children too. My youngest is 10 and loves the books. The books really drag you in and keep you reading.
